The gardening and maintenance team at Amaroo’s Gosnells Village have successfully undertaken a Worksafe-approved Small Plant & Equipment Handling training course as part of Safety First’s WH&S Program that has been in place at Amaroo since 2008.
Courses like this, conducted onsite by Worksafe-accredited A Plus Training Solutions, demonstrate Amaroo’s commitment to implementing and maintaining a positive culture towards work health and safety at all levels within their organisation and confirms their position as an industry leader in specialised aged care in Australia.
The one-day nationally-accredited course covered 16 different aspects of motorised and manual equipment handling and was based on a very hands-on, practical approach to the maintenance team’s role and is just one aspect of the comprehensive mandatory training program that Amaroo has in place.
